We
are happy to present the 4.0 Haydenfilms Online
Film Festival! Haydenfilms is proud to continue building a
platform for independent, and student film producers to showcase
their work, and get credit at the same time!
The Haydenfilms Online Film Festival is open to all student and independent films. All genres will be accepted for review, including shorts, animation, experimental, and documentary.
Each
entry received for the Haydenfilms Online Film Festival must
be accompanied with a completed Haydenfilms Official Submission
Form or be submitted through the Withoutabox.com entry process.
Eligibility
Requirements
- Submissions
to the Haydenfilms Online Film Festival can be shot or created
in any format (Film, digital video, animation, flash, etc.).
- All
films must be in English or subtitled in English.
- Maximum
length of submission is 35 minutes.
- Short
form
must be under 10 minutes total running
time.
- Long
form must be over 10 minutes but
no longer than 35 minutes total running
time.
- If
your film is longer than the 35-minute
maximum, producers may edit a special sequence of their
work that otherwise meets the contest requirements for submission.
- Major
motion picture studio films are not eligible.
- Submission
format: USA-Region playable DVD (DVD-R, DVD+R) at XP (Highest) quality (Full screen Hi-resolution).
No other media formats (VHS tape, etc.) will be accepted.

to Submit
- You
can submit your student or independent film using the Haydenfilms
Official Submission Form.
- Save
$5 off of the Haydenfilms.com Online Film Festival entry
fee when you become a Withoutabox.com
member and submit your film through their online entry process.
- Must
submit the Haydenfilms
release for on-screen talent, voice and music.
- Must
submit a small filmmaker biography or back story no more
than 250 words in length.
- Submission
deadlines are postmark dates.
- Employees
of Haydenfilms LLC are not eligible.

What
if I am accepted?
- A
preliminary Judging Panel composed
of Professors of media, as well as film industry experts
and others will select the 50 FINALISTS.
- Finalists
will receive a Haydenfilms Marketing Kit (including 500
Haydenfilms promotional tickets, marketing poster, and Haydenfilms
apparel) to help promote their films on our site.
- All
finalist films will be shown on the Haydenfilms Online Film
Festival Web site beginning August 30th, 2008 through October
30th, 2008.
What
if I win?
- Grand
prize Online Film Festival winner will receive $10,000.00.
- Top
three finalists will receive a Haydenfilms Filmmaker's prize
package including Movie Magic Screenwriter software
by Write Brothers, and other
affiliate prizes.
- The
winner of the Festival will be based on our interactive
online viewer voting system. Click here to view more information on the voting rules.
- The
top four films (Grand Prize winner and the three runner-ups),
will be displayed on the Haydenfilms.com Web site for a
period of one (1) calendar year following completion of
the Online Film Festival period.
- The
decision of the online viewers is FINAL.
